Not What It Seems, Writing Challenge
So I’ve decided to take on the Fanfiction Writing Challenge for March, its based on illusions. I’m still deciding which characters I will write about, and what the story will be but I think I may use this challenge to help me write a oneshot for Dair in addition to the contest story.
I am stoked to be getting my creative juices flowing again. This is going to take a lot of concentrated effort on my part. I have to balance about a million things this month but I’m certain i will be able to accomplish it all!

The Squeeze by RZZMG (An HP FanFic)
EXTRA #1: The title of this fanfic (‘The Squeeze’) refers to a one-sided ‘Zugzwang’ in the game of chess. It describes a situation where one player is put at a disadvantage because he/she has to make a move when he/she would prefer to pass and make no move at all. In game theory, it specifically means that this move directly changes the outcome of the game from a win to a loss (example: forcing the King to move on the board to avoid being checked, but as soon as he moves, you’ve set him up for an inevitable checkmate). A one-sided Zugzwang is referred to in the chess world as ‘the squeeze.’
SUMMARY: What do you do when the one you love loves someone else? Theo loves Astoria. Astoria loves Draco. Draco loves Hermione. Hermione loves Ron. Sounds like a recipe for a ‘no-win’ scenario all around, doesn’t it? ….

Another great fanfiction to recommend. fobbybythebay the author of an amazing story To Muddy a Malfoy, read my story If I’m Dying, Your Dying, We’re Dying where I wrote using the 30 Wounds Prompts. Afterward she took on my “challenge” to write a story using the prompts in the exact order they are listed, and her story was brilliant!
It was practice for the rare pair challenge at Granger Enchanted, and I think you’ll enjoy it as well!
